A Gathering for Hospitality and Tourism Professionals
On April 10th, Hotel Nautica will welcome Novigrad Wine & Gastro, an event designed for hoteliers, restaurateurs, their staff, tourism professionals, and anyone working in related industries. Bringing together winemakers, small producers, and various exhibitors, the event also features an educational program tailored for hospitality and tourism professionals.
Guests will be greeted at the entrance with a welcome drink – Cannella apple and cinnamon liqueur, a rising star in Croatia’s hospitality scene. After the opening speeches, the educational segment kicks off with Monika Neral, the only sommelier in Croatia and Italy to hold an ASI gold diploma. Her expertise in wine service and hospitality is invaluable for industry professionals, offering fresh ideas to enhance service just as the tourist season begins. A portion of her workshop will be interactive, featuring a guided tasting of three wines from the renowned Istrian winery Prelac.
Following Monika, attendees will gain insights into the fundamentals of social media management—an essential skill in today’s tourism landscape, where digital tools play a crucial role in promoting businesses. Ivana Goa Majdandžić will highlight key content strategies that resonate with travelers and introduce tools that help boost business performance.
The educational program will conclude with a gastronomic workshop led by Doris Vlah and Antonia Mikac, showcasing Istrian flavors in a truly authentic way. Antonia Mikac, known for her brand Tonkine fritule, creatively combines traditional fritule recipes with flavors from different Croatian regions. Doris Vlah, always full of surprises, will present a selection of gourmet delicacies featuring products from Nota Vinegar (Momjan) and Albi (Galižana).
This event also carries a humanitarian touch—visitors will receive a wine glass as a gift in exchange for a donation at the entrance. The glass is meant for tastings throughout the day and serves as a keepsake from the event. All collected funds will be donated to Liga protiv raka Pula, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by malignant diseases.
